Our players among the top seven of the Champions League round!

After the first round of two-legged tie of the Last 16 Velux EHF Champions League phase, two players of PGE VIVE Kielce got to the top seven! After the last domination of our goalkeepers, this time the back-court players deserved a place among the best ones.

The last match of PGE VIVE Kielce in the Champions League showed what a good player means! After the fantastic performance of Luca Cindrić and Alex Dujshebaev, two of the most effective players in Kielce during their first encounter with HC Motor Zaporizhia, the experts of the European Handball Federation distinguished our back-court players by placing them among the best seven of the first round of the Last 16. In total, Luca and Alex scored 16 goals in this match, which is almost half of all the goals scored by PGE VIVE.

After our meeting in Zaporizhia, also the Motor’s right winger, Artem Kozakevych, who flawlessly performed penalty shots, and scored a total of 9 goals for his team, joined the top seven. In terms of successes not particularly concerning Kielce, but Poland in general, the EHF again distinguished Adam Morawski, a goalkeeper of Orlen Wisła Płock, for one of the few fantastic interventions in the match against Pick Szeged. The team from Płock played very well during the competition, which in the end got out of their hands, eventually losing the first clash to the Hungarian champions 20:22.
