Tomasz Gębala in Kielce!
Tomasz Gębala, blessed with extraordinary physicality, signed a 3-year contract with our club (till 30.06.2022) and will play in PGE VIVE Kielce team.
I always emphasize that we are a Polish team and we want to have many native players in the line-up. I am glad we were able to agree on the terms of Tomek's contract. We see potential in this player and I think that working with our training staff will make Tomek an even better addition to our club and the Polish national team - emphasizes President Bertus Servaas.
The player is currently undergoing rehabilitation after the rupture of the ACL in his right knee. He suffered an injury on May 15 during the PGNiG Superleague semifinal match against MMTS Kwidzyn - We will be patiently waiting for Tomek to be able to start training with the team in 100%. We are monitoring his rehabilitation process and are looking forward to its completion - said President Servaas.
It's been a little over a month since the injury, so the earliest we can see the yellow-white-and-blue player back in action would be in 2020.
Tomasz Gębala is a player with fantastic physicality - 212 cm tall, weighing 120 kg. He is a left playmaker as well as a central defender.
He is yet another addition to our club before the new season 2019/2020. The following players will join our team next season as well: Andreas Wolff (THW Kiel), Mateusz Kornecki (NMC Górnik Zabrze), Igor Karacić (RK Vardar Skopje), Branko Vujović (return from loan from Celje) and Doruk Pehlivan (Fivers Margareten).
